Effective August 30, 2026. This policy explains what kenvanvorhis.com collects, why, and what it does not collect. The short version: the only information you give this site is what you type into the contact form, there is no analytics or advertising tracking of any kind here, and nothing is ever sold. Van Vorhis LLC, Orange County, California.
kenvanvorhis.com (the “Site”) is the personal website of Ken Van Vorhis, founder of Prometheus Exotics, and is operated by Van Vorhis LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), based in Orange County, California. You can reach us at press@kenvanvorhis.com.
This policy describes how this specific website handles information. It is written to meet the requirements of the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), which applies to any commercial website that collects personal information from California residents.
The Site is informational. It does not sell anything, process payments, create user accounts, or serve advertising. There is no cart, no checkout and no login. If you join the community or buy mentorship, that happens on a third-party platform, not here. See section 6.
Information you give us directly. The contact form collects your name, email address, phone number, the inquiry type you select, and the message you write. Every one of those fields is submitted voluntarily by you. If you email us instead, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to put in the message.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard technical log data when you load a page: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, the page that referred you, the pages you viewed, and the date and time. We use this for security, troubleshooting and keeping the Site online.
Cookies. This Site sets only the functional cookies our host uses to deliver and secure the pages. We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, conversion tags, remarketing tags, session recording, heat mapping, or any third-party behavioral analytics on this Site.
What we do not collect. We do not collect payment card or bank account details, government identification numbers, precise geolocation, biometric information, or any of the categories treated as sensitive personal information under California law.
We do not use your information to build an advertising profile, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you filled in the contact form.
We do not sell your personal information. We have not sold personal information, or shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising, in the preceding twelve months, and we do not do so now.
We share information only in these situations:
The Site links out to third-party platforms, including our community and mentorship on Whop, the Prometheus Exotics website, and social media profiles including Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, X, LinkedIn, Threads and GitHub.
When you follow one of those links you leave this Site, and the privacy policy and terms of that platform govern what happens next. We do not control them and are not responsible for their practices. In particular, joining the community or purchasing mentorship takes place entirely on Whop. Any account details and payment information you provide there go to Whop and its payment processors, not to us. We never receive your card number.
California law requires us to state how we respond to Do Not Track signals. Because we do not track visitors across third-party websites or over time, a Do Not Track signal does not change our behavior. We also do not permit third parties to collect personally identifiable information about your activity across different websites through this Site.
Van Vorhis LLC does not currently meet the revenue or data-volume thresholds that make a business subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA. We honor the following requests anyway, from any visitor, regardless of where you live:
To make a request, email press@kenvanvorhis.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We verify requests by corresponding with the email address associated with the information, and we respond within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent, and we may ask for proof of that authorization.
Shine the Light. Under California Civil Code section 1798.83, California residents may ask whether a business disclosed personal information to third parties for those third parties’ own direct marketing purposes. We do not, and never have.
Contact form submissions and emails are kept for as long as the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterward, then deleted. Technical server logs are retained by our hosting provider on their standard schedule. You can ask us to delete your submission sooner at any time.
This Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information through the contact form, email us and we will delete it. California residents under 18 who have publicly posted content on a site may request its removal; this Site does not host user-posted content.
The Site is served over HTTPS and we take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we hold. No website or method of transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information such as financial account details through the contact form.
We may update this policy as the Site changes. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date at the top. If we make a material change to how we handle personal information, we will note it clearly here. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
